Personal Pussy Politics

Though the slide show of my cats "speaking their views" is meant to be comical; it reminds me that as a parent of a special needs child - my voice is heard as a faint meow, a mere shadow of a non-valued individual -as meek as a pussy cat's within the public arena. Even if I were to roar, would anyone hear? Who besides the hurting knows the value of human life? Were one to find themselves amidst calamity, amidst deformity, disability -would they find themselves to be a mere pussy cat amongst the lions? Would that be the end of it? Moreover and more likely -would it be more accurate to say one would find themselves to be the prey within the lion's mouth?
